Transfer Application Requirements
Minimum GPA:
While the minimum cumulative grade point average for transfer consideration to the University is a 2.00, a 2.30 is recommended. However, priority is given to applicants with the strongest credentials. Certain majors have more selective requirements and enrollment limitations.
Official Transcripts:
All course work presented for transfer must appear on an official transcript sent directly from the original teaching institution to West Chester University.
SAT Scores:
Required of transfer students applying with less than 30 college credits completed and we recommend a minimum of a 500 critical reading score and 500 math score.
Letters of Recommendation:
N/A
Essay:
All applicants must submit a Personal Statement.

Interview:
An audition is required for all Music applicants and an interview may be required for Pre-Medicine, Pharmaceutical Product Development, Nursing and Liberal Studies applicants.

D grades may be accepted for transfer only if the overall GPA is greater than 2.00. Grades in a course submitted for transfer as a major program requirement must be the same or higher than the minimum grade required by the department.
